The 2nd Earl of Rochester, John Wilmot, was a favourite court poet of Charles II. Known for his extravagant frolics, he lived a debaucherous life and enjoyed countless lovers including, as rumour has it, a young Nell Gwyn.
Made from the finest heavy weight woven silk sourced from a traditional British mill, this fabric is typically used for luxurious gentlemen’s dressing gowns of the old school tie variety found at expensive shops in Jermyn Street and Saville Row. These dazzling shirts feature contrast panels on the collar, back yoke, split front placket, the cuff and cuff vent. The split panels have been used to chevron the vivid stripes to great effect. Finished off with gilt enable buttons, these comfortable yet fitted shirts are the flashest we’ve ever made.
