The 2nd Earl of Rochester, John Wilmot, was a favourite court poet of Charles II. Known for his extravagant frolics, he lived a debaucherous life and enjoyed countless lovers including, as rumour has it, a young Nell Gwyn.
Made from the finest heavy weight woven silk sourced from a traditional British mill, this fabric is typically used for luxurious gentlemen’s dressing gowns of the old school tie variety found at expensive shops in Jermyn Street and Saville Row. This tie featuring a chevron split stripe detail down the centre is fabulous. Worn alone or teamed with the Rochester Shirt it is dazzling.
